Prema riječima producenta Jesse Abney-a, igra je u razvoju već dvije godine. Također je spomenuto da će igra dobiti novu osobinu a to je "iskustvo vozača". G-sile u igri, odigrati će veliku ulogu što će se jako odraziti i na igrača, ali i na vozila sa kojim se igrač utrkuje. Kamera iz automobila će biti ponovno dostupna, što je prvi put nakon Speed Porsche Unleashed-a. Pogled iz automobila će opet biti vrlo detaljan pa će biti moguće vidjeti kako vozač mjenja brzine, te okreće glavu kako bi dobio bolji pogled na retrovizore. Također, sudari će da utječu na igrača vizualno. Kod sudara, bit će privremeno zamrljan ekran, dok će zvuk samog sudara biti vrlo detaljno dočaran, kao i oštri zadah vozača prije samog sudara.
