Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 će se odvijati nekoliko godina poslije prethodnika. Jedan od heroja iz COD-a 4, narednik "Soap" MacTavish, je promoviran u kapetana SAS-a (Special Air Services). Sada kao dio nove jedinice komandosa, MacTavish će voditi igrače kroz niz napornih misija, uključujući infiltriranje ledenih Ruskih baza.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 će se pozabaviti sa predmetom beskrajnog stvaranja neprijatelja, jedna od najvećih kritika na originalnu igru. Svi koji se nadaju dužoj singleplayer kampanji mogli bi se razočarati jer će ona trajati kao original (6-10 sati).
Infinity Wardov Robert Bowling je otkrio kako nadolazeće PC izdanje igre Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 neće imati podršku za "dedicated" servere, već će se igrači spajati preko sustava koji oni nazivaju "IWNet". Ovaj novi sustav će funkcionirati na konzolaški način, automatskim spajanjem vas i igrača sličnih rankova preko IWovih servera. Bowling je potvrdio i ukidanje podrške za neslužbene modove i mape.
Izlazi u Novembru 2009.
